What happens when you use a tool
Your browser downloads the site’s HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. When you paste text, choose a local file, or process a result, that work happens inside the current browser tab. Large jobs may run in a Web Worker, which is still local to your device.
Data PasteTidy does not collect
- Input and output text
- Contents or names of files opened with the File API
- Clipboard contents beyond the result you explicitly copy
- Search, replacement, delimiter, prefix, suffix, or pipeline values
- Accounts, profile information, authentication credentials, or advertising profiles
Harmless settings stored locally
PasteTidy can store a color-theme preference, analytics consent, recently opened and favorite tool identifiers, Text Cleaner mode and presets, and optional short Find and Replace patterns. These values remain in browser local storage and are not synchronized. Input and output text are never saved there.
Files and downloads stay local
Opening a file uses the browser File API and keeps its contents in the current browser session. Downloading a result creates a temporary Blob URL on your device. Neither action uploads the file to PasteTidy.
Optional analytics cookies
PasteTidy uses Google Analytics only after you choose “Allow cookies.” Analytics receives page visits and a small allow-list of event names such as an example being loaded, processing completing, or a result being copied or downloaded. Analytics never receives tool input, output, file contents, option values, or statistics derived from your content.
Advertising features and Google Signals are disabled. You can reject analytics on first use or change your choice through “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Rejecting prevents future product events and prevents the Google tag from loading on later visits.
Cookies and third parties
PasteTidy does not use advertising, third-party fonts, or scripts that can inspect tool fields. If you allow cookies, the browser connects to Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager endpoints for measurement. Review the Google Privacy Policy for information about Google’s processing. Hosting infrastructure may receive ordinary request metadata while serving static assets, but tool content is not part of those requests.
Clear PasteTidy local data
Remove PasteTidy-owned settings from this browser. Nothing is deleted until you choose a scope in the confirmation dialog.
